The Wind Blade Transport Trailer is a segmented special vehicle used to move wind turbines from a production facility to a construction site.The most common type is the expandable type, which is required whether the trailer is an adapter or a flatbed trailer.
There are several factors to consider when building an onshore wind farm, most of which have to do with the location of the turbines.On the other hand, grid connectivity and access, which are two key components of any development, can face limitations of several kilometres from turbines.

Blade transport has always relied on delivery trucks that can carry but not manipulate blades.However, according to Ian Baring-Gould, an American wind expert, larger blades are more expensive to manufacture and maintain, and the larger overall size increases the weight of components.
Another option is to use a hydraulic lift trailer, whose blades lock behind the cab and can be raised to pass through difficult pinch points while shortening the delivery trailer. But not all, will eliminate some of the need to obtain third-party consent by these trailers. Even if the trailer stays on the road, the blade has the potential to over-navigate nearby properties. Overhanging trees or power lines can also cause problems.
Another factor to consider is that while a hydraulic lift trailer can be used during the initial construction of a wind farm, gaining access under any operation and maintenance agreement can create difficulties when a hydraulic lift trailer is required again when blades need to be replaced. If technological improvements do not overcome these problems, further access permits will be required as turbine diameters grow.
